Joint childbirth is a responsible decision. And it depends on many factors: the preparation of parents, the mutual desire to be together at this important moment in life and, of course, the conditions in which a married couple will give birth to their baby. We have all heard that most of the medical institutions in Dnepropetrovsk have received the status of a "child-friendly hospital". But, undoubtedly, each of us wants to see everything with our own eyes, to make sure - has the approach to childbirth really changed?

Olga Vyacheslavovna, please tell us about the specifics of the work of maternity hospital No. 9.
Our staff is determined to ensure that the birth was as natural as possible, close to the situation in which our grandmothers gave birth. This does not mean that we have returned to the haystack, it means that we have prepared and organized the delivery process in such a way that our woman feels in a cozy atmosphere, in an atmosphere of goodwill and trust to those people who help a woman in labor at such a crucial moment.
The reaction of women in labor and their loved ones to innovations depends on the problem of parenting, which, in fact, begins long before a married couple decides to have children. Our maternity hospital participates in the project "Family Planning". Similar projects that introduce teenagers to the issues of sex education should include the organization of premarital counseling and end with the preparation of expectant moms and dads for childbirth and parenthood.
